History

It all started one day when Wayne needed a trailer. He started to fabricate his own from scratch. This work started to become more and more common, venturing out into headache racks and other trailer accessories, along with farm equipment repairs. The doors were always open to any and all opportunities.

In 1980 a 1,700 sq. ft. building was constructed as the original was growing too small. An additional 2,200 sq. ft. were added on in 1985 to accommadate the growing company. In 1994, Wayne was between a rock and a hard place. Working his career for a local company, his work load at home was becoming more and more. It was time to decide whether he would continue these projects or stay at his current career. He decided to retire and start Specialized Products, Ltd. A larger building, at 4,000 sq. ft., having enough room to facilitate their current work load thinking they would be set and not need anything larger.

As business continued to grow, and the amount of area required for production increased, an even larger building was required. Specialized Products moved to it’s 6th Street facility, at 11,000 sq. ft., and conducted most of it’s manufacturing from this location still utilizing the older building from 1994.

In 2000, Specialized Products realized their 6th Street facility was growing too small. Not ever dreaming of growing to this size, we are now situated on 85,000+ sq. ft. of manufacturing facility with 14 acres of land.

In 2018 we were looking to add some additional manufacturing space and added this 15,000sq. ft. facility to allow us to expand our capacity.
