Specialized Products’ machine shop is something we are very proud of. Many customers often put them to the test, but our machinists, appreciating a challenge, rise above and beoynd to provide successful end results to challenging machined parts designs.
CNC Lathes
Lathes are rapidly replacing the older production lathes (multispindle, etc.) due to their ease of setting, operation, repeatability and accuracy. They are designed to use modern carbide tooling and fully use modern processes. The part may be designed and the tool paths programmed by the CAD/CAM process or manually by the programmer, and the resulting file uploaded to the machine. Once set and trialed the machine will continue to turn out parts under the occasional supervision of an operator

A vertical machining center (VMC) is a machining center with its spindle in a vertical orientation. High-speed machines are high-precision often used for tight-tolerance milling, such as fine die and mold work. Low-speed machining centers are among the most basic CNC machine tools.
